JimiCup ’11…Internationale!!!
This year is the 13th anniversary! This year's event is geared toward making the Ottawa Valley THE vacation destination for squirtists from all across North America and around the world. To enhance the traditional JimiCup mystery move contest, Nerf Golf tournament, downriver day, and microbrews, we have the following extras lined up to make the Ottawa JimiCup '11 the biggest, most fun squirt event in the history of the sport! Check it out…
The 30-second + Prize! - OK all you mysterydawgs, now's the time to show us what you've got! Even with the downtime scores getting higher and higher every year, the 30-second mark still has not been broken during competition at any JimiCup! In '03, NY's Paul Einfeldt came within a hair of cracking 30 with one ride that was only a few hundredths of a second away, and several boaters have gone past it since during practice, but to date the barrier has not officially been broken. The pot has been growing since '03 for the first rider to break it - will it finally be awarded at JimiCup '11? Read on…
Transportation - So you're saying to yourselves, "Sure, we can fly there, but how do we get around once we're there?" Not to worry; as always, transportation will be provided if necessary to and from Ottawa airport, and throughout the course of the event (shuttles to the river, etc.). If you're going to make the trip, we're going to do our best to make it as easy on your pocketbook as possible! And, regarding other expenses like…
Camping/Takeout - River Run Paddling Center is the place to be... What else...
The past several years have seen momentous change in squirtsport! With new
designs popping out of the molds on what seems like a monthly basis, squirt-only
events springing up regionally, and DT and technical squirting being taken
to new heights (and depths) by their respective masters, squirting is alive
and vibrant like it's never been before. The 11th annual Ottawa JimiCup Squirt
Boat Rendezvous promises to be the biggest celebration of all things amphibious
our sport has ever seen. We hope to see as many new faces as familiar ones
here on the Ottawa! Please contact Scott
Docherty if you have any questions!.
